Pumpkin Patch

We finally made it to the Pumpkin Patch this year!
I wasn't sure if it would happen with our schedule looking so different but we took advantage of the boys having a 1/2 day of school today.
Our favorite Pumpkin Patch is the D & D Ranch.  I think it holds so many memories that it's hard to go anywhere else.
I remember the first time here.  It was when Canyon was 4 months old and we were getting ready to move back to CO and I begged for the owners to let us in early before they opened so I could get a pumpkin patch picture with my 1st baby.
Canyon was a fussy baby and I'm pretty sure he felt tortured the entire time we were there.
I remember being so upset that he was upset:)
8 years later and we still come every year.
There is a special authenticity to this place.
It's a piece of the past and you feel it as you watch the kids play.
The animals here are so loved and cared for and the kids get to have a part in it.
Farmer Mike gave us a hay ride and we got to feed the cows.
Below is Brownie.  He lost his mom when he was born and Mike's wife fell in love with him so he is a permanent fixture on the ranch.  He's had a beautiful life that is for sure.

Having Smith Rock in the background of the Ranch is another reason it's number one in my opinion.
 The Family Selfie...actually turned out!
It was weird not having our hats and vests but we sure enjoyed the beautiful warm day!

Dry River Canyon

Took the little monkeys on a beautiful walk this morning to get some fresh air!
Every Fall we love to come out here and enjoy one of my favorite outdoor playgrounds for the boys.
August was excited to not be in the pack for this adventure.
The "rock garden" is my favorite part of this trail.
 Love them so much.

A great day to get out and smell the fresh Junipers!

SALT CREEK FALLS/DIAMOND CREEK FALLS

I took the boys on a new adventure today and it was beautiful.  We started out at Salt Creek Falls which is just a quick walk from the parking area.
 My little troopers.
August had fun hiking for about a mile before I put him in the pack.
August is in his element in the great outdoors.

The boys were extra silly today as you will see in all the pics.
 Our famous net!
I don't think we've ever been on an adventure without finding some sort of creature:)
The boys did great as usual and enjoyed the hike to the falls.
My attempt at getting a pic of all of us;)
It's so fun to look at these and I can't help but giggle.
I'm so blessed to have 3 boys who share my love for adventure.
After the hike we had a little picnic before heading back to Bend.

Diamond Creek Falls.  We only saw this falls from the viewpoint.  Next time we will see them from the bottom.  A great day to scout out a new adventure.
