While visiting the John Day Fossil Bed National Monument we stayed at this cute little ranch outside of Fossil, OR. This place is nothing fancy but the people who run it are beautiful and make it such a special place to stay.
The two days we spent here were mostly in the car visiting the 3 different units of the Monument but we did have some down time to play at the ranch.
It's important to always have your net incase you need to catch a pear in a tree!
Taking a little walk to check out the ranch.
The ranch supplies the kids with boots and hats so the boys were super excited to be Cowboys for two days!
It's a good look for sure:)
They fit right into the landscape.
Howdy!
Not a fan of the cowboy theme.
Even cowboys play baseball.
The best part of this Ranch is the wonderful home cooked breakfast and having the chance to meet and get to know the other guests staying at the ranch.
I surprised the boys with stuffed mastodons tucked in their beds.
Thanks Nancy and Phil for such a memorable experience!
