The beginning of a great adventure to Sarasota, FL.
The boys taking their scheduled naps:)
Greg the Gecko made an appearance for the boys during their walk with Grandpa.
Grandpa and Grandma have a beautiful home with a pool and a view of a pond. We enjoyed looking out of the window and checking out all of the amazing birds that visit the pond.
The number one beach in the US
Just miles from Gpa and Gma
Fun in the pool!
Grandmas famous pizza!
Grandpa and August share a bond and a name.
The boys had a fun day at Mote Aquarium and joined in on a home school day that Grandma and Grandpa set up for them. They learned about the sea turtle and had the chance to track their movements.
They also learned about the different tracks different species make.
Pretending to be Jr Scientists, they were able to find and excavate a nest.
At the end of the day they were able to learn about sea life in the Golf and used nets to get a closer look at them.
Grandma found this huge shell with a very large slug like sea creature living inside of it.
Such a special day for the boys. After our home school day we checked out the rest of the Mote Aquarium.
August was a trooper as usual.
Myakka State Park was another beautiful place to explore.
We had the chance to walk around before getting on a big air boat to visit some local gators.
The boat ride was very fun and we learned all about this mysterious creature.
The gators open their mouths to cool off.
Fun times on the boat.
The boat captain was very funny and was kind enough to get a picture with the boys.
We had the chance to walk up above the canopy and look out over the park.
The boys have been waiting so long for this day. Grandpa and Grandma made all of us the cutest shirts with different lego names for each of us. SO much fun!!!
Saywer's face is priceless on all the rides:) Grandma is having too much fun!!
Lego Safari!
One of the highlights for the boys was getting their drivers license and attending the Ford Driving School.
Putting their new license to use!
Along for the ride.
Grandpa and Grandma and the boys won the race to put out the fire. So much fun to watch!
Meeting the Lego Movie Characters!
My favorite picture!
More fun rides:)
Grandma told Sawyer to hold his breath if he got scared:)
Daddy spent the entire day finding benches to sleep on since he was very sick this day.
A nice outing with Grandpa and Grandma downtown for lunch.
The boys each got 20 dollars for an early birthday present to spend at the toy store downtown.
Then out for ice cream.
Many more memories made. Despite some illness, we all felt so loved and cared for during this trip. Thankful for such amazing Grandparents.
We flew in and out of Fort Myers where Grandpa and Grandma Cannell live. It was nice to be able to see them on both ends of our trip.
