BLACK BUTTE BIKE RIDE

Black Butte Ranch has a wonderful bike trail system that circles the property.
We enjoyed our time here playing at the park and doing a couple of laps around the ranch.
The weather was nice and cool.
 Having fun in the grass.
Someone looks left out.  Soon enough.
Sometimes our adventures can be overwhelming in beautiful ways...like scenery overload:)  Today our adventure was simple but still beautiful.
I was able to enjoy this view most of the way.
And listen to August talking my ear off in the bike trailer.
August loved the ride as much as we did.
A perfect low key family outing.
 Big stroller all to himself.
After our ride we met some friends at the park for a dinner picnic.
Three families full of BOYS!  It's so fun to watch them grow together.
 And play together.
Great ending to a great day.

DEVIL'S LAKE LOOP HIKE AND HELL SPRING

On our way to Devil's Lake, I took a shot of Mt Bachelor from the car window.
We took a little hike around the lake today and then set out to search for Hell Spring where the water comes up right out of the ground.  A view above of Devil's Lake.
My boys minus the cutest one on my back.
Photo credit goes to Sawyer on this one.
To get to Hell Spring you head up the South Sister trail.
Finding a spot to have a picnic was no easy task.  It was tough to find flat ground.
 Berry Monster
We followed the creek up to the spring.
Canyon had a ton of fun exploring the creek.

Above is the actual spring...Hell Spring.  Right below Canyon, to the right is where the water comes up out of the ground.  It's pretty amazing.
We also found holes and other areas where we could see the water underground.

HUGE mushroom to the right of my toes:)
A fun little adventure.  The boys were excited to get on their kayaks for a quick paddle after our hike.
They did great staying together and had so much fun paddling around the lake.
We did not capture the beautiful green water in this area for some reason.
Our day's off together are not wasted...that is for sure!

PROXY FALLS

 Another family favorite!
An easy hike for the boys and the end reward is too good to be true!
Canyon decided that next year for his birthday he wanted to do this hike again!
My boys have such an eye for finding things on all of our adventures.
Dad usually takes a moment to teach them something about it.  Pretty sure he is the reason our boys are extremely intelligent.
Always tough to squeeze us all in with an arm reach shot but we managed!
Canyon was such an explorer this year.  He had so much fun going out on his own and climbing his way through anything.
There is no playground quite like this one.

August was cracking us up with his giggles the entire time.  He LOVED the mist of the waterfall.

Canyon climbed to the base of the waterfall.

If you look close you can see Canyon in the middle.
Sawyer went with dad to try to get close to the water fall too.  It will be fun next year to see him wanting to explore more.

I didn't even attempt to keep my shoes dry.  Too much fun to walk right in the beautiful water.
My favorite picture of the day.

Before heading out we hiked to the upper falls and had a little picnic lunch.

 More exploring
August has mastered the camel back.
 Jumping for JOY!

Such a wonderful day.
