We started our morning by watching the Annual Pet Parade.
The parade is just a little bit better with vanilla steamers:)

The duck race is a yearly tradition after the parade.
It's amazing how the boys carry these memories with them throughout the years.
The boys waited two years to win the bend broadband dog. Last year the line was too long and this year they both spun the wheel, and both landed on the free dog. Worth the wait!
Before leaving we stocked up on some fresh berries and sugar snap peas!
August missed his morning nap and did GREAT!
Later in the day we ventured out to Elk Lake with our good friends.
The boys and Josie girl were searching for some cray fish.

A great little beach spot on the South Side for the kids to play and the water is a great temp as well.

We packed a fun dinner to share with one another.
My favorite part of keeping up with this blog is reliving the memories of each day.
It's a reminder of how blessed we are to live in Bend.
How we are surrounded by friends who we love dearly.
Who love good beer and share it with us:)
It's too easy to get caught up in the details of getting to a destination sometimes with kids.
The payoff is so worth it.
The memories are priceless.
It's creating experiences that we hope our kids share with their own kids someday.
As the evening went on we made our way home and took baths. This little cutie went to bed and the boys got ready for round three.
Our neighbors blessed the boys with a couple of sparklers to light off. The pictures show off the personalities of the boys. Mr entertainer who takes the sparkler and creates a dance routine with it.
And our super cautious soul who makes sure that the fire stays directly over the concrete not to get anywhere near the grass just in case:)
After the sparklers, the boys grabbed their headlamps, chairs, and a bag of popcorn and headed up the hill to watch the fireworks with daddy.
Such a great FULL day!
