LAPINE STATE PARK

Our after school adventure was a new one today!  We explored La Pine State Park!  Our first stop was to visit the largest Ponderosa Tree.  It was a beauty.
Because of weather, it no longer remains the tallest tree, but still holds it's circumference record.
We walked down to the water and we were amazed at how clear and perfect it was.
 Posing with the Big Tree:)

Next on the agenda was a mountain bike ride.  August was prepared with his great attitude and helmet:)
Pit stops along the ride to check out the water and look for rainbow trout.
We biked over to the water fall and found a great place to explore.
 Worth the trip!
The Fall River Trail is a perfect family trail to bike on.

 My boys.
Did I mention how perfect he is?
Canyon's attempt at taking a picture of us;)
 The colors were changing!
The boys found a great little trail through the woods that we might have to come back to explore some more.
 Everywhere you go, it's beautiful.
The boys did so great on their bikes.  Most of the trail was single track minus this little section.
Greg managed to get a picture on the trail while eating our dust:)
Our "weekend" was perfect and I'm thankful we were able to take full advantage of the 80 degree October weather.
